Speed monitoring signs are located in strategic locations to remind motorists of the speed limit. Motiv's technology enabled this data to be processed in the sign, and published to a traffic management database at an affordable price point.
This upgrade enabled the existing sign asset to be used for multiple purposes. Aggregate data is then published into hourly, daily, and monthly graphs to communicate traffic patterns. This facilitates transport monitoring and planning in an otherwise isolated asset.
Motiv has transported the basic speed sign in to the future through the application of the latest IoT technology. By increasing the utility of the signs, we enabled our client to analyse traffic patterns and benefit from modern monitoring features beyond their expectations.
