A significant investment has been made to improve road safety around schools across the country. Electronic speed control signs are located near each school, and turn on to slow traffic at peak pedestrian times.
Currently, all of these are reliant on the actions of each school to switch them on and off and the Transport Control Centre has no feedback on the status of any sign. In order to ensure that they are functioning properly and keeping children safe, local authorities are installing our technology to independently verify the status of the sign in near-real-time.
